1979 9.9 water pump replacement - stuck drive shaft

I got the lower unit off but the drive shaft is stuck in the power head. Is there a way to get it out without taking apart the top end???

I have made adapters to clamp on the driveshaft.---Then use a slide hammer.------But you might want to inspect the crankshaft spline anyway.----Often folks forget to put the wee o-ring on the driveshaft and grease on the spline.
 
Racer, whats the part no. on that puller? WTF#13? I assign codes on my special tools here too. LJT, stand it upside down and soak it with a good penetrant like "Blaster". You can try TAPPING it in a little too, after a good overnight soaking. That might be just enough to Knock 'er Loose.
