Suzuki DT 55 wont go past half throttle without water light and rev limiter coming on

Hey all. I have a Suzuki DT55 i believe its a 1985. Im having a problem where i cannot go past half throttle without the water warning and rev limiter kicking and the motor just bogs. If i shift back into neuteal and go again it resets but does it again if i go past half. I have water coming out the side hole and the exhaust plus all the water pump components are new. I tried a few fuel issues and it didnt help. The oil is full as is the gearcase oil and the oil pump works. Motor runs great at idle and i can rev it up high at idle. Any ideas as to what my problem could be? I dont know much about this motor and the manuals i have for it are little help. thanks in advance!

any clue as to where it may be located on this motor?

I don't really know. But I would suspect it's in the head or around the cylinder walls close to the head. Sorry I'm not much help here.

No worries i was able to find it. Just ordered a new temp sensor hoping like hell that it fixes it.
