My motor is a tohatsu M40d2z.
I have noticed that my power trim and tilt (PTT) is leaking Hydraulic oil on the lifting rod when pulling the motor out of the water.
The oil and water seal is broken - the one found on the top of the PTT. Went to tohatsu and they do not offer the oil seal on itself, but you have to buy the whole reservoir tank for 120 euros! (bummers)
Now I have noticed on a Dangar Marine video on youtube on a 30HP Honda PTT which is exactly idenitcal to my tohatsu's. Have looked up the part and Honda do supply the seal. I have compared the tohatsu oil seal vs Honda oil seal and they look pretty much identical manufactured from the same NOK company and having same number on seal.

Has anyone ever tried this oil/water seal? Does it fit perfectly?
