Year of my engine

I new to the forum. I joined to help me identify a small outboard I got when I bought a john boat 5 years ago. I never used the motor. Only fished electric motor lakes. I want to sell. I do not know who makes it or the model. I was told by former owner it was a 9 horse. I attempted to upload a picture of my outboard motor but could not get a .JPG to upload to this reply. Thanks in advance to any help you could provide.
