Mariner 30 ELO What year?

Hello,
I got a Mariner from my son, who bought it from the last owner in a string of owners, none of which had been able to make it run.
Someone took it to a repair shop who determined it needs a 'crankcase gasket', which is apparently NLA.
I would like to know the year of manufacture, so I can be frustrated firsthand, looking for parts.
The plate says 30 ELO 689 L 550424.
I haven't been able to find this particular model/ serial combination in the charts I have found.
Any help will be greatly appreciated...

Looks to be a 1990 MARINER SANSHIN NA 30 ELO (L = Long Shaft) Model Number 7030312SU.

What is the gasket part number they are looking for?

I don't know what part the motor needs, I will have to find the paperwork when I get home from work.
The info I got with the boat is sketchy at best, and I don't know how many hands it passed thru...
The manual will definitely be needed...
