First time here, Re the short ~3" rod that connects the timing plate to the top of the throttle lever; there are white plastic retainers of some sort that clips one end of shaft to top of throttle lever, and other end connects to timing plate.
Is there a part # to replace these? Engine 60073D is nearly 50 yrs old and they have disintegrated. Any help?
Thank, Will
Great site lots of info and parts diagrams... except the ones I need...?

They are clearly shown on the parts diagrams.------Just look at every parts page till you find them.-----Kit is about $5.

I found it- Spark Advance Lever(Powerhead Group #43) attaches with
313703 - Joint Kit, Ball and Socket. (Powerhead Group #44 and #45)
Says 2 required per Assy, so that is how it attaches to Base plate Clamp as well.
Other end attaches to Clamp (#10 Dist Group) to Base plate (#1 Dist Group).
I was thinkin, after my first time skimming through all the timing and performance issues some folks have, that 'play' or failure of one or both ends of these little plastic ball joint clamps may be the cause of many problems folks have, especially on engines nearly 50 yrs old as my 1970.
Pricey as most marine parts are, wondering if Automotive Carb linkage ball and joint kits are available for this application...
Great Site, I'll probably need someones help down the river.
