Spark plug wires

Can I use spark plug wires from the local speed shop for a small block Chevy on my new base 350 GM marine replacement engine or do I need marine specific plug wires? I have an older Prestolite electronic marine distributor.
 
Ayuh,....... Automotive wire sets are to short,.....

Marine wire sets are longer,..... same components, but much longer,.....
 
So, if you can get a set long enough, that will be your challenge. Unless you can safely reroute. Get top quality of course. Remember, that system produces up to 30,000 volts at 50 Ma.

I'd suggest getting a spool of resistor core wire with the proper boots/caps & terminals along with a decent crimping tool.

You can match the lengths of your old ones or cut each one to length as they get installed. If you have the time, measure each completed lead and add the lengths to the log book....
