4hp Saddle tank fitting to 6hp?

Hi, I needed a small tank for my 1988 6hp kicker and picked up a cheap saddle tank from a 4hp which would be ideal but trying to work out how it fits and whether I can adapt to fit the 6hp so far google has come up empty and I can’t see how it clips into place? Can anyone help?

Just to add, I managed to rig it up using cable ties and this seems to hold it in position but not ideal.

I have managed to find out that the 4hp Ultra model which uses this tank as some sort of cage fixed to the mid section that holds the tank and there is some sort of twist clip on the top of the tank that engages up near the exhaust
