My warning alarm stopped working and after removing it and testing it I found that it works., I went through all the recommended steps including replacing the gauge (temp, oil pressure) etc., but I found that there's an added purple wire cut in to the purple wire coming out of the alarm thats not connectedcto anything, just hanging there loose. There's two wires that come from the alarm, a purple one and brown on. At the terminal end of the attached (added) purple wire is a screw fitting that will reach the fuse block and the large gauge that has the ground terminal, ignition terminal and so on but I'm afraid time attach it to and source for fear of burning something out. Does anyone have any idea where this would have been attached? I did have a mechanic check out my nav lights that stopped working and he may have disconnected this wire and failed to re-attach it. It's driving me nuts, anyone please help! By the way, the mechanic is no longer around.
