honda bf8ah carburetor gasket question

Thanks for the reply. I posted this question for two reasons, # 1 is because the carb has two sides so i would logically think that it would require a gasket on each side & # 2 is that the representative that was online at boats.net chat line told me that he/she could not answer my questions because he/she is not a mechanic & they referred me to this forum.
Can you answer the other part of my question regarding the proper gasket sealer or should i post this as a separate question ?

No sealer required !------And one side of the carburetor is wide open to atmosphere, therefor no gasket needed before air is processed / conditioned by the carburetor.
