Proper size raw water inlet hose

Twin 350 crusaders 1966. My boat is raw water cooled 100% the thermostats have been bypassed for decades because they are no longer available. Currently the thermostat housings being used has a 1-1/4 inch hose from the raw water pump. The correct thermostat housing for my intake manifold has been found and arrived. The raw water hose is 1 inch. Will the 1/4 inch reduction in hose size cause an issue. It’s about a 15 inch long run.
 
I can't answer the question but have one of my own. What temps are you running without the thermostats? Thanks in advance and have a very merry Christmas season.
 
A few pictures would be very helpful.

FYI...... you should be running with a proper temperature range thermostat installed as to control operating temperature.
Too cold is not good!
