Grinding /clunking in gear.

My 140 is making a grinding/clunking noise, it seems to only be happening while it's in gear I removed the prop shaft and looked at the clutch dog, it looks a little worn but not damaged the gears that I can see look fine, any ideas? Thanks
 
Change the LU lube and look for any shavings. are you sure that you are going all the way into gear. Does it make the sound in both F and R?
