About to become the owner of a new DF300AP. Re-powering in a few weeks but I recently picked up the service manual to start familiarizing myself with it. Couple of questions:
(1) On my old Yamaha, I would replace the water pump impeller every other year, I only put 70-80 hrs on motors a year. Service manual on the Zuke says replace impeller "Every 200 hours or 12 months". Going by the book, I'd be swapping this out every year?
(2) Instructions to drop the LU says: Disconnect battery cable. (Is turning the batt switch off good enough)? Remove main relay or shift actuator fuse from fuse box. Remove clutch link rod from clutch lever. Pretty self explanatory and the pics in the manual are good.
Is all of this necessary because it's FBW ?
