Hi all,
I have a Mercury 80hp EFI year 2012 (four stroke).
It started with the motor would not start (periodic). The Vessel view came up with 2 different errors: 1 on the HI pressure fuel pump and 1 on the low pressure/lift pump.
I took the motor to a mercury dealer and he recommended new: High pressure fuel pump, lift/low pressure pump, float, vacuum hose (to fuel regulator) and seal´s.
All parts the dealer recommended that should be changed has now be installed.
Now the motor starts but after approx. 20Sec the motor start to stall and the Vessel view comes up with error 207- legacy “Electric lift fuel pump”.
I have tried to connect the FSM directly to a bottle with fuel to eliminate any fuel restrictions.
I can see that the lift pump starts when the key is turned on (the fuel in the bottle drops 2 inches). When the engine are running I can see that the lift pump runs periodic the first 20sec and then stops when the code appears on the Vessel view.
I cant see any damage to any wiring.
Does anyone have an idea to what I can do next?
