Overheat...Themastat???

Pics of the impeller/housing?

It could be the thermostat?
Test it by putting it in a pot of water on the stove and turn on the heat.
The hotter it gets the more the spring opens.
It's a 130d thermo 895338part#

[FONT=&quot][/FONT]Run the motor on muffs and see if the exhaust water is exiting at the prop
and the hole in the mid section cover.
 
Jerry, I do buy American made cars and trucks, but nothing newer than 1987. If it doesn't have a sealed beam headlamp, you better get AAA. Love my old stuff and swear by it.
Maybe his motor is not really overheating?
