"92 Sportcraft with Volvo 4.3 and DP-c drive Tilt question

The lower-most portion of the two cylinders travel is for drive trim ONLY!
This is controlled by a sensor switch.
Anything past trim (above trim) is in the tilt-out travel range.

.

So the trim switch only works within the "trim" range (?? degrees) and to bring the outdrive up beyond that would require you to use the "Tilt' switch ?? I would assume this would be set up that way to prevent drive from being raised too far up with engine running ?? What about "beach" mode ? is that part of trim or tilt ?

Correct!

It has more to do with staying within the trim range while the hull is planing.

I'm not familiar with "beach" mode..... but will assume that it is in the tilt-out range.

When not in use and/or on the trailer, keep the drive fully down and aiming straight ahead. This will help extend the life of your drive shaft bellows.
