1997 Crusader 454 XL loses power at 1/2 - 3/4 fuel tank. Port engine runs perfectly until some point between 3/4 to 1/2 level of fuel tank; the engine loses power (like it's out of fuel). SB engine remains running fine. Single fuel tank shared by both engines. If tank is topped off, PT engine starts and runs fine. Any ideas or similar experiences?

Based on the inference that this is repeatable and only driven by the fuel level in the tank, the only idea that comes to mind is the dip tube (pick-up tube) feeding the port engine has a crack in it somewhere along its length.....a vacuum gauge on the suction line should be able to verify it if access to the tank is a PITA....

I'll give that a shot. I can access all hose attachments on the top of the tank. Much appreciated!
