Engine runs great in idle in but surges at 1500rpm

Hi guys

My mercruiser 5.0 mpi sn:336590 I believe is a 2008
Anyway it idles good but as soon as i rev it past 1500rpm is surges up and down and get a beep at the cockpit feels like it's about to cut out and sometimes does.

A beep and loss of engine power is power loss to the ecm. If the power is lost for a split second it will stumble the engine.

If the ignition coil is leaking RF it will scramble the ECM and stumble the engine with a single beep. No codes will be stored.

Check for the yellow flag circuit breaker on the engine...If you have on, you need to update it.

What do you have hanging on your boat key chain? This is relevant.
