Trouble starting engine, 175HP Ficht 1998

I turn starter switch on and only clicks. I continue turning swithch and after ablut 5 clicks it starts. Can anyone let me know what is wrong

First thing to do is load test your battery and check all connections.

Checked battery, checked connections and changed solenoid and still click, click...and starts. Starter doesn't drag. I'm afraid of it not starting for good when i'm far from shore.

Any loose wires in the ignition?

Brushes in starter worn, solenoid bad internally or PDP problem....
