Replying to myself as I was informed that this model is an ‘interference model’ and not a ‘ non interferance’ Model which means that if the timing belt goes then things break. Interesting to know that like some cars it is possible to get outboards that don’t implode when the timing belt gives way. I’m knew to this forum and find it very helpful. I have become owner of a quicksilver 640 ph 2011 and now waiting to put it into the water when winter has retreated in 2019. Good luck..
