200 v6 yamaha, trim controls won't work.

Need to know more to help. Do you hear the trim motor quietly running or does no sound mean just dead silence? If the trim motor doesn't run, does the engine wind over on the key?
 
Track down the click. It is probably the trim relays. It is likely that you have either lost the earth to the trim motor or lost the +ve feed to the relays. You can see where the wires come up through the lower engine casing and follow them to the relays. There may be a fuse between the relays and the main feed off the starter solenoid but I can't remember for sure how this is set up. If you have a voltmeter there area few quick tests to prove what is happening.
