Flywheel

Hello all,
I'd just cracked a 1961 evinrude 10hp (10022) flywheel, I know stupid noob mistake.
my gut says get a proper puller, but I had a claw puller at hand, and the pressure was great enough and cracked it while I tighten the middle nut.
heres the question, this site indicated part number 580218, the flywheel I removed indicates 580203, and I saw a good cheap used one on eBay 580204. Is there a difference between the three?
Visually the 580203 and 580204 looked the same.
please help me clarify, I looked all over on google and no answer.
thanks!
peter

You can't go by part numbers cast onto the part.

EDIT: 508218 is the correct part number for your flywheel, no matter what is cast on it.

So, the one that was on it originally was the wrong one?
but I'd googled the motor year and model, and flywheel part number is always 580203, even when I typed in the original part number of 580218...

I dunno, I just now went through a bunch of parts books and where-used books, and it seems the answer is lost in antiquity. But I did find that 580203 and 580204 were both replaced by 580217. Don't ask me what the difference is between 508217 and 580218 because I don't know.

The key is the taper on the crank your probably safe just getting number 580213 it is the QD series powerhead. You probably need to get a running motor to find the flywheel 580218?

Ok, so I found one said to came off a 1962 evinrude 10hp part#580203 on the flywheel. Guess I'll just bite the bullet.
thank you guys for your help.
