Common for an outboard not to start but i would like some advice on this one,
Mercury 20 hp 4 stroke 4 years bought new not used that much except for trolling as it is used as an auxiliary with a verado s a main engine, the 20 will not start will only start when idle speed lever is pulled way out and if it is pushed halfway in will stall, by pushing in key for electric choke it will keep motor from stalling, when i engage into gear before engine stalls it will keep running fine for hours,as soon as i let down throttle it dies out again hoses bulb and connections to tank are all ok, is this calling for a carb rebuild, if so is there a service kit for the carburetor?
