Hi folks, newbie here. First post, and hoping someone can help.
I recently purchased a boat project. The boat is a Manatee and it came with a Force 120hp. I can't find any info on the engine anywhere. I'm looking for the year and serial number. It has blue coils and boxes.
can anyone help or point me in the right direction?
 
In 1991 they made the first 120

The blue packs/coils were used till they started the black(upgraded model) in 92??(if my memories right??)

BUT!! someone could have swapped the newer black with the old blue??
Maybe they changed the cover??

On the block under the coiils/pack is a foundry mark.
Shape of a circle. inside the circle is the year the block was made.

On the starter sometimes the date is still on it?

Pictures of the cover and gear housing and trim can help ID the motor.
