I have a mid 90's M90a which currently is running great with great compression however trim/tilt is leaking and pivot tube bushing has gone causing excess vibration and i am aware this is a powerhead off job to repair. These models also don't have the trim switch on the casing which is really annoying at the boat ramp!
I have been offered an early 2000's 90hp TLDI with a cylinder gone that I have been thinking about buying for spares, however are the powerheads the same and if so could I swap my good powerhead onto the TLDI unit and gain direct injection as well as solve my other niggles?
