The only new replacement springs that I found that were compatible. Available here and in limited quantity.

Originals compared to replacements. A very good starting point. BTW the slots in the yoke are 1/2 an inch long.

Please carefully read post #4 in that thread.
I cannot emphasize enough the importance of checking the advance curve on a Sun, Allen or King distributor machine when replacing the flyweight return springs!
The provider may be well intended, and may tell you that these are the correct springs for your application.
However, one small difference in spring value can make a huge difference in the advance curve!
Too much advance and too early...... and you may end up with this.

I give up!

Don't give up..... take your distributor in to a shop who has a Sun, Allen or King machine, and who employs someone who knows how to use it.
Have them set it up using their bone-yard of new or good used return springs.

Have them set it up using a curve graph for the Marine version engine ONLY.
