LM 318 to 340/360?

Can I morph the 318 into on eof the others?

Ayuh,..... Donno 'bout morphin' the 318 into anything, but it can be pulled, 'n a 340, or 360 dropped into it's place,......
 
I just ran some quick numbers.
In order to make a 318 into a 340 (by changing cylinder diameter alone), it would require an over-bore of approximately .130", or .065" of the wall.
That would be very risky!
 
Okay, my bad. Somewhere I got the impression/idea that a 318 and 340 were the same block difference being pistons and heads and the 360 was maybe an extension of that idea. Apparently not. So, forget that and I will be moving on to my next dubious idea.
