All right, My motor is running great now. But the control box that came with it does not have a kill switch. So I am adding one to my dash board. I ordered a generic kill switch. My question is how to attach to motor.
I think that I can run a wire from where the black and yellow wire attaches to the terminal up to the switch, with the second wire on the switch going to the engine ground at the bus bar.
Does this sound correct? Thanks for your help.

Yes, black/yellow and ground. Pick them up at the motor, or inside the control, whichever is convenient. However in the control is less likely to get damaged.

It worked perfectly going from the black/yellow wire on key switch. I drilled a very small hole on the back side of the control box to run the wire through and tied that wire into the new kill switch. I feel safer already!

Good call. I teach the Boy Scouts Motorboating Merit Badge and emphasize safety above all else. Use of dead man switch is vital.

These videos are exactly why I preach boating safety:

Where goes de black and yellow cable coming out of the powerpack on the same evinrude
