Hey guys .
I recently bought a boat with a 1987 Johnson VRO 140Hp engine . (Vro is bypassed)
So i have trouble getting it to WOT . It bogs down.
Idle seems okay .
I purchased 4x new Champion Spark plugs QL77JC4
Replaced a cut off fuel line leading to one of the carbs.
Replaced a broken spark plug cable .
So after all this, i thought the engine would of been acting properly..but it's not.
I then, decided to change my carbs gaskets and seals , but when doing so, i saw something strange , cylinders 1 and 3 has 16 and 28 sized jets . & Cylinders 2 and 4 has 20 & 28 sized jets . Is this normal ? Would that cause some issues with accelerating, or bogging ?
Anyways, i cleaned my carbs with carb cleaner, and the jets with pressurized air, waiting on my 4x carb repair kits to arrive home ..
TLDR :
Cylinders 1 and 3 -jets 16 and 28 sized
Cylinders 2 and 4 -jets 20 and 28 sized .
Could that cause an issue when accelerating, (bogging in my case)
