My mariner 150 XL 1997 oil in

My mariner 150 XL 1997 oil inj. uses only about has only used 2.5 gallons of oil since i got it. I have put about 180 to 200 gallons of 92 octane gas in it and have not had to fill my 3 gallon tank yet. Is this running too lean? I've been told that the oil inj. sys. is reliable but this seems scary. Runs fine and sounds good though. Tahnks for your help....

Try and calculat

Suggestion:
Try and calculate how much oil your injector is putting into the fuel and add oil to make up the difference to the fuel to run the engine at 50:1 or something very close to that. I did that on an OMC engine with "Auto-oil" until I got smart and removed the "Auto-oil" and now I simply mix the fuel and oil like in the "old days" Problem Solved! No more worry about enough lubrication.
