First, we need the exact model, not year of manufacture. If you want to know about interchange between an M50D2 and an MD50B, let me explain:
For M50D2:
FOR TRANSOM "S"3T5Q873016LOWER UNIT ASSY S (AMB)


For MD50B:
FOR TRANSOM "S"3T5Q873016LOWER UNIT ASSY S (AMB)

So, YES, those lower units are identical
 
Hi,

I have at tohatsu tldi 50. when i open the air regulator i notice white liquid. When the boat is ongoing everything working normal however when it is neutral sometimes the motor stops. i also notice some black at the back of the boat when i take it out of sea. any ideas what it could be?
 
First, this is a new issue, so you should create a new thread.
But.
What is the "air regulator"? Do you mean the throttle body?
A lot of things could cause stalling. What do the plugs look like? Any error lights?
Black could be unburned fuel/oil mix.
