What's wrong with #2?

Might be a major carbon buildup on top of pistons. Have you ever tried a decarbonation treatment,sea foam, engine tuner? And yes I was leaning towards a possible weak spark. Has a compression test been run lately
 
Could be a bad plug wire also yes start off with a compression test and a open air spark gap test and get back with the results. Allways check compression first.

I have tried Mercury Powertune. As a matter of fact, I just did the treatment while replacing the plugs last week. The motor ran very well afterwards.

I have done a compression test but it was many years ago. At the time, the comp test showed no issues. All cyls were within 10%.
