Fuel pumps/rebuild or new

I it is much cheaper to rebuild my 1985 20hp fuel pump, but would it be wiser to just buy a whole new assy since mine appears to be original.Has the original old part number on it.Any thoughts?
 
If it is the original, it is a nice simple pump. I'd rebuild it. I wouldn't say that if it has been replaced with the complicated square pump.
