Honda bf90 question

Hey guys my name is Daniel its my first post and happy to be a member of this forum. Well i have a 97 honda bf90 this weekend i decided to flush my outboard with vinegar water mix so i dropped my lower unit and removed the thermostat i hooked a garden hose to the water pick up tube in the mid housing. When i started the flush i noticed i had water coming out of the exhaust tube in the mid section is this normal?? I know when yamaha outboards do this its a sure sign of exhaust corrosion. Has anyone seen this before? Please help thanks in advance.

It sounds correct. The water flows up the water tube, through the head to the thermostat. Then the water flows out through the exhaust. This will happen quickly since you removed the thermostat.

Before the water goes into the head, it "t"s off to the water telltail.
