1988 85 Force lower unit is a little loose

The lower unit on my 85 Force is loose there is little bit of play when I lift the engine to unlock it the is some play any suggestion of what it could be any help would be very much appreciated

How is it loose?
It's held on with 7 bolts?

You mean the motor lifts up or moves on the kingpin?

That requires a complete disassembly and new mounts.
That's not an easy job.

Also it's EXTREMELY DANGEROUS to operate this way.
