1978 OMC tachometer wiring for V8

My 1978 OMC RPM gauge has only two terminals in the back. One labeled Grnd. Where do I hook up the other terminal? All YouTube searches show three and four terminals behind the tach. There is a separate wire for the light of course but I’m looking for the sending/12v wire instructions.
 
assuming it works, provide a ground lead to the GRND terminal and the tach lead (gray) to the sender wire and try it....sender post may be labeled PUL.
