I am doing my annual maintenance on my motor and have a small hose that isint attached to anything. I have known about this for a couple years as I bought the boat with motor already on it. i think i found where it goes but it doesn't fit right. i believe the cable is a spedo or engine temp gauge but the open threaded hole is my concern. should this hole have nothing attached to it? should there at least be a plug. my repair manual doesn't cover this so I am hoping someone that know this motor will chime in. here's the pics of the hose and compression fitting as well as the hold that is open and I believed it used to go to any info will help.
