Default Intake manifold gasket, cork or silicone ?

Putting the intake manifold back on my 454. Fel Pro gasket set comes with cork strips for the ends. Should I use them or discard and use RTV ?
Any other tips or tricks ?

    Thanks

clean surfaces with alcohol, place 1/4 inch bead of black RTV , set manifold, let cure, torque to spec

the factory recommendation is to use the gaskets from the kit over the head ports and RTV acrosss the "short ends"...

Traditionally, we always add some sealer where the gaskets meet at the ends.
