My 350 XL with 12 hours on it, I was 20 miles off shore and the exhaust started to blow white smoke I shut it off the temp hit 200 and returned with one motor. any Ideas and where should I start.
 
For starters check for good raw water flow. Check/replace pump impeller, check sea strainer for grass etc that could impede the water flow, hoses to from pump.
 
2X on validating the raw water flow.....we had a similar predicament a while back and never found a definitive cause - we suspect it was a discarded ice bag .....wound up having to change the exhaust hose as the inner layer had burnt thru....
