I have a 2006 merc 115 EFI, serial number 1B307703.
We just changed the oil and was changing the water pump in the lower unit. I was trying to put the lower unit back on, and having trouble getting it to line up at the top of the shaft. I decided to raise the motor so I could try putting it in on an angle and have oil coming out somewhere. It came flowing out where the throttle cables go into the housing, so not near where I'm trying to assemble the lower unit.
Have I damaged something or pushed out a seal???
I'm baffled.
