Welcraft 190

I'm new here and never had an inboard boat before so would appreciate some help since I haven't a clue. Bought a Welcraft bought that doesn't have a motor. I have a 2.3L Ford that was in my mini-stock car or I have a V6 in a 1986 Ford Ranger. My questions are: can either one on these be adapted to be used it the boat and if so what all do I have to buy and how do I do it? Appreciate any help.

Are you talking inboard or an inboard/outboard (aka I/O)??

Given the title, I'll proceed with I/O infered.....No on your race engine (w/o major mods) and unlikely on your V-6. If you are serious, it would be less hassle to figure out what was in the hull and find a replacement to match.....Though the cast iron is usually "lifted" from the auto world, things are done a bit different (devil in the details) in the marine world.....

Unless your budget is purely discretionary, you'll likely be better off finding a turnkey used boat....

Ayuh,.... Agreed,.... What exactly wass there is pretty important,.....

The 2.3l might be adaptable to an OMC Cobra,..... The V-6, No way,....
