Mercury 110? 9.8, 9.9??

Hey all. I've searched every other forum post that I could find on this site and others, and still have not found answers to my questions. I'll attempt to upload a few pics to help out. My motor says Lightning on the powerhead, Thunderbolt ignition on the hood, and I can see a '837 2756' stamped on the engine as well. I've looked allllll over the engine and the swivel bracked, and cannot find any Mercury serial # plate. I'm not so much concerned about knowing the serial as I am with knowing the correct year, and whether it's a 9.8 or a 9.9. Any help is appreciated!!

If that is the serial number that puts it at 1979-1980 australian built 9.8hp

For parts use 9.8 serial number 5206550 and up.
