57 model 7.5 Evinrude

I have a 57 model 7.5 Evinrude starts and runs great in a tank but on the water can only get it just above idle. I've cleaned and checked plugs and carb but no difference. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Love this little motor and don't want to give up on it its been great until this. Thanks for any help.
 
Check the fuel filter which is located in the glass bowl beneath the carburetor....Also check the two hose pressurized fuel tank and hoses for air leaks...check the o-rings on the fuel connector.....does pumping the primer bulb when the engine is running have any effect on this condition??
 
Thanks for the help but I've found the problem coil for bottom cyl is bad from the looks of it. Its original not bad for 61 years.
