Points setting on old NS 2.5 A

I have an older Nissan 2.5 HP that I am playing with trying to get her back up and running. I believe I have a correct new set of points on the way. My users manual does not say what to set them at. Hopefully someone here will know. Thanks, I recently joined but have been reading many previous posts about these little engines. I know it is obsolete and probably not worth the effort but fingers crossed it will live again. Joe
 
Good question. I would start around 0.020 inches, and see what happens. Make final adjustment to get the timing as desired. Larger gap = earlier firing.
