In need to replace a couple exhaust manifolds along with a broken cylinder block and with my studying I've found better looking castings available for the late nineties 4.3 liters. I see some obvious difference externally from the 92 that I own but dimensionally the newer manifolds appear to a match.
Is there a functional difference between them that demands that I stick to original fitment?
As a side note, my manifolds have an OE number of 866897. Does not come up on many of the catalog searches I've tried.
