Neutra-salt system.

My system didn't work when I tested it today, took it apart & found the solenoid stuck and corroded. I'm adding a flush hose input to the water input hose now that the boat is on a trailer, and I'm wondering if I should fix and retain the neutra salt system.
I'm looking for input from neutra salt users as to their opinion of this system.

FWIW.... a 5 gal bucket of fresh water mixed with SaltAway as a periodic flush works fine for me. Nine trouble free seasons on the (MERC OEM Dryjoint) elbows of my FWC'd engine.... and they still looked good when I pulled them.
