07 115 merc Oil LOW level Alarm

Hi Guys,

Long story short, Motor was rebuilt over a period of a year, Oil tank was drained and left sitting in that time. Everything has been assembled and oil tank is half full of oil but low oil alarm goes the 4 beeps every 2 mins.

Is there any tricks or fix i could try before I buy a new tank?

Sorry for the late reply, the serial is 1B481274

I had a look and there is a little probe that goes in the bottom of the tank. Is that what needs to be replaced?
