Lost spark, 40 hp 4 cyl Mariner

Lost spark on lower 2 cyl of 40 HP Mariner 40 hp, 1990 model, how to verify stator or other problem? Thought it was switch box, installed new, still not.
Switched coils from top to bottom, not coil problem.
 
The stator is merely an amperage generator. The trigger coil determines when to send the spark to which plug. I suggest you check its circuits for resistance. If open, replace it.

Flip the trigger leads on switchbox and check spark with plugs out(it will be out of time) as it sounds like the new switch box is defective.
