hi, there I'm needing some help/info. I noticed the other day that there was 2 stroke oil leaking out of two small holes behind the trim tab of my 50hp mariner, its serial is 0d036847.
its also running very Smokey. we changed the orings on the oil injector pump but it didn't fix anything.
its been suggested I get a new oil pump which I have ordered but its going to take a few weeks to get to me. am I on the right track?
ive also done some research and maybe its just the check valve that's causing the issue. when I look at ordering the valve its different, on my outboard its a tee piece fitting but according to boats.com it should be a inline check valve as shown in the pics, I cant find a part number for that tee.
I would appreciate if anyone has any input to help fix this
