bf75 wont run unless primer button is pressed

Im working on a BF75 that's carbureted. It will only run when you have the button under the key pressed. I assume this is a primer. as soon as you let go of the button the motor cuts off. I have the carbs off and I am going to clean them is there anything else I should look?
 
Are you sure that the button is not the safety switch? Unless it is a special installation, Honda's choke control has been either a toggle switch, you push the key in (to choke) or in a side mount box (with the key in it)...you raise the fast idle lever all the way up.

If it is the safety switch, you will just need to get the correct safety landyard for it.
